Who can play?
Almost anyone can play. Please check in advance if you have any special access requirements to make sure that the room is suitable for your party’s needs.
What will we have to do?
You will have 60 minutes to solve a series of puzzles to escape the room. The puzzles will test your ability to work as a team, think logically and with common sense.

FAQ
An escape room is a live puzzle experience where you and your team work together to solve a series of puzzles in order to ultimately solve a mystery and escape the room within 60 minutes.
We’re a premium product; our games are our own, and in bigger explorable spaces (meaning higher rents and rates reflected in your ticket price). We also provide a dedicated Games Master who is watching your game, and only your game (and never mix you with strangers). It’s the Know Escape difference, it’s one of the reasons why we have thousands of five star reviews.
Comfortable clothing is recommended.
You might jump, but then you’ll laugh. We want you have fun and would never put you in danger!
The games are built in reasonably spacious areas, there may however be less spacious elements to the games. If you would like to come and see the space before booking please let us know and we can arrange a visit beforehand.
This age may vary between our games. Any players under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over).
You have 60 minutes to escape the room.
If you fail to escape within 60 minutes the gamesmaster will let you out. You are more than welcome to come back and try again at any time.

If you are going to be late please phone us on 01246 72 00 88 to let us know. Where possible we will try and make sure your game is the full 60 minutes, however we may need to shorten your game depending how late you are.
If you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to cancel your game. Unfortunately you will not be eligible for a refund.
All will be explained when you arrive.
Unfortunately not. All sales are final. Please be aware our game is a live experience. Once the booking has been confirmed refunds and cancellations are not accepted. If you can’t make your booking please contact us as soon as possible (within 48 hours at the latest) and we will do our best to reschedule your game.
You may be asked for ID as part of proof of purchase on arrival.
Yes. All bookings are made via our booking service (Resova.com) and payments are processed by our payment provider (Squareup.com).
You should arrive 15 minutes before your booked time. This allows for any questions you may have to be answered an a pre-game briefing.
No, we work to keep our games a surprise for everyone who comes to play.
Please contact us before you book to discuss whether your needs can be met. We do not think anything in the room will be a problem to most people, but want to make sure you are safe at all times.

No! Never! If you book a room it is yours for the duration of the game, we never add additional players from outside of your booking to make up numbers.

By Road
Satnav Postcode: S40 1JW
Head into Chesterfield Town Centre (Lordsmill Street) which leads onto Saltergate and after 200 metres turn left into Rose Hill car park. Take the car park on your left and you will see Chesterfield Escape Room in front of you.
By Bus
Stop at Church Way and heads towards Chesterfield Market, then on to Soresby Street and you will find us at the top of the road. It’s a five minute walk from Church Way.
By Train
We are a 5 minute walk from the station. Follow the foot bridge into the town, keeping straight and 200 metres past the roundabout about you will arrive at Soresby Street.
Walking
From the Town Centre, you will be no more than a couple of minutes away, heads towards Chesterfield Market, then on to Soresby Street and you will find us at the top of the road.
